Sick leave bcos of fever & bad cough
May 20
Still have fever but come back working until 9:00pm, very angry with husband on that nite, cannot sleep until 4:00a.m.
May 21
No need to work but fever continue, bad cough & headache. Bcos still angry with him, go & watch "Star War" alone at nite. I vomited on the train that made me 20 mins late for the movie.
Anyway, the movie is very impressive.

Just had a hair cut, it's too short again.
May 23
After these days of sickness, i feel i gain much weight bcos of the medicine.

I dont know what i m going on that day, still sick

"The hand" is my favorite one out of the three stories. It talked about sex & love in the aspect of desire & fantasy. No sex scene but it can arouse your sex feeling.
The story is also the most explicit one.......simple & direct. I like it more than 2046. i only have 2 doubts: (1) Is it part of the story of 2046? .....I guess not, bcos they call her "華小姐" instead of "蘇麗珍". Of cos u can say she's not using her real name........anyway, i dont want to make things too complicated. (2) Did she die at the end? I guess she died ......if she recovered and has a better life.....張先生will not be that sad.
An article said Wong likes to talk about distance between people. I agree. In this story, 華小姐 is a VIP customer of 張先生, this is their distance. After she "granted" him the pleasure, she's like a godness in his mind. She has many rich admirers, but he's just a tailor, he never thinks he can reach her. This is another kind of distance. Their distance is closer when her life is getting miserable. But before they can start, her life end.
Most of Wong's movies have sad endings.......may be this is his style, may be he wants audience to remember his movie more. I discover that people tend to be more impressed with sad ending (at least myself....when watching comedy, i will laugh, but i rarely laugh twice; For sad movies, i can cry every time i watch them).
We always remember sad things more & the people who hurt us..........


p.s. writing this diary at office, with fever, headache, sore throat, sore ears, extreme cough, tired body........

Re: Death

Death is so close to us.....so close that u cannot even aware of it.

My husband's grandpa passed away yesterday. The doctor already told us that he will die soon....but we dont expect it comes that fast. He's a lonely oldman, no one like him.
Although i only met him three times, i felt sad about it.
This is the 1st time i will be in the family side in a funeral.
