One of the mysterious case from Fringe

Observers appear at most incidents believed to be connected to The Pattern, or major events of the human history. They do not seem to be involved in the direct cause of any events, but simply observing them.

However, Observer August broked the rules. He kidnapped Christine Hollis, an ordinary 27-year old student in order to save her from a plane crash. He believes Christine is unique and her life should be saved.

"They are all unique. That is not reason to interfere with the course her life was meant to take." To fix such mistake, the other observers decided to send somebody to kill her.

Observer August seeks help from Walter.

“May I ask what’s so important about Miss Hollis?”

“I cannot explain the reason. I merely see it. I have never experienced such certainty. But the others.......they say she’s of no consequence.”

“Well in that case, if you can’t persuade the others of your conviction, you must do something to prove it. You must make her important and of course, whatever you do, you must be prepared to take the consequence. ”

Observer August is lying in the back seat of the car. Another Observer is driving.

“Will she be safe now?”

“Who’s she? Why did you save her?”

“I saw her many years ago. She was a child. Her parents have just been killed. She was crying, but she was brave. She crossed my mind. Somehow.......she never left it. I think.........it’s what they call feelings. I think......I love her. Will she be safe now?"

“Yes. You made her important. She’s responsible for the death of one of us.”
