Just interviewed a candidate. When i asked him to describe himself, he said he's a responsible, honest and very punctual person. Since he never wants to be late, he's always the 1st one who arrive office.
"I guess you're very afraid to make mistake too?"
"Yes! How could you know?"
At the 2nd half of the interview, we focus the discussion on his career history. He said his religion made him believe that finding a job has a lot to do with luck or fate.
"Are you a buddhist?"
He surprised why i guessed it right again.
I said normally christian /catholic ppl wont use that kind of wording. Instead, they would say it's god's arrangement, test......
What i didnt say is......luck or fate might play a part, but it's not as important as he thinks.
Smart, good looking people always get more options. And the matching of skills & personality with the position is much much more important. (of cos, it's arguable that it's correlate with fate / luck too)
